The Intersection of Infection Prevention & Control with Hospital Design

There is no shortage of guidance about Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) in hospital environments.  But the guidance may contain advice which is dated or contested. Alternatively, the guidance is very technical and only accessible to specific professional groups such as microbiologists.  How then do hospital design professionals and estates managers make decisions to keep patients, staff and public safe?  How can we ensure that hospitals can anticipate and mitigate future IPC requirements?  How do we prevent IPC from being the ‘lost orphan’ when planning, designing, modifying and operating hospitals?

In this webinar we bring together a panel of experts in IPC and microbiology to present some of the latest thinking, covering different hospital environments and contexts.  Confirmed speakers are [insert names and titles here –Margreet Vos (Netherlands) & Hilary Humphreys (Ireland)].  An additional speaker will be confirmed in the coming days.
