Core Services and Expertise:
In April 2026 Scottish Government created Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland) bringing together NHS Education for Scotland (NES) and NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) into a single national organisation that is designed to speed up modernisation across Scotland’s health, care, and wider public services.
NHS Scotland Assure, a directorate within PSD< provide multi-disciplinary knowledge development, assurance and evidence on healthcare facilities and assets, for and on behalf of Scottish Government’s Health Infrastructure and Sustainability Division. This includes free NHS Guidance publications, research and advisory services for NHS Scotland, on the procurement, planning, design, engineering, equipping, construction, maintenance and operation of health facilities.

Centre of Procurement Expertise and Centre of Specialist Expertise regarding healthcare buildings and associated technologies, including their procurement, planning, design and construction.
Facilitating the strategic capital development of the healthcare estate through long-established partnerships with key stakeholders. Providing comprehensive construction procurement service for capital projects from inception to completion. The capital portfolio has a value of approximately £2 billion.
