Scottish Exective Health Department Property and Capital Planning
The Scottish Exective Health Department Property and Capital Planning Division comprises two branches: the property branch and the private finance & capital branch.
The Property Branch advises on all property matters impacting upon the Department's responsibilities for NHSScotland. This requires the ongoing and periodic review of existing property related policies and strategies which are designed to make best use of NHSScotland property and to provide an appropriate quality of healthcare facilities which complement and support the wider health policies and priorities of the Scottish Executive.
The Private Finance & Capital branch is responsible for the Department's capital planning policy and strategy including inputs to the 2 yearly comprehensive spending reviews, the development and maintenance of a 5 year capital plan, the monitoring of capital investment and the provision of policy guidance in respect of the management and approval procedures for both public and PPP/PFI projects.
