Locum AB is one of Sweden’s larger property managers with a property portfolio of about 2.4 million square metres in the Stockholm region. Major tenants are healthcare institutions in Stockholm County. Locum AB is owned by the Stockholm County Council. Locum’s guiding principles are Customer Benefit, Quality and Sustainable Development.

Stockholm County Council owns a large property stock that includes premises mainly for healthcare and public transport. The healthcare properties are managed by Locum, who is also responsible for rentals, property development and other property transactions. Locum has also been contracted by AB Storstockholms Lokaltrafik, SL (Stockholm Transport), to manage, let and develop the public transport properties associated with bus services in Stockholm County. Beyond this, Locum has a few minor management assignments for other County Council-associated organisations.

Locum AB is fully owned by the Stockholm County Council through the holding company Landstingshuset i Stockholm AB, and the County Council’s property management contractor. The healthcare properties are carried as assets in a special profit centre within the County Council, Landstingsfastigheter Stockholm, LFS (County Council Real Estate), where the properties’ income, costs and earnings are reported. Locum is responsible for LFS’s administration and profits.

The County Council’s purpose with Locum is that the healthcare providers should be able to concentrate on their core business, while all property matters are hand-led by a professional property manager.
