Doing More With Less

How can we do more with less?

The European Health Property Network, together with Architects for Health, are delighted to invite their members to a one day conference on 20 May 2013 at the Royal College of Physicians, London, from 11.00 to 18.00, titled How can we do more with less?

The topic

We are likely to have a flat-lining economy for most of Europe for the next 5-10 years and capital investment will be difficult to realise.  Where new build is essential, projects will be scoped very tightly and productivity and efficiency gains will be at the top of the agenda.  Refurbishment and reuse will be increasingly favoured.  At the same time, quality and safety remain a challenge, and the built environment has to play its role in ensuring that these priorities are met.

What can help to keep healthcare safe and high quality, with less money and importantly, less political will to spend freely - even where budgets might allow?

The programme

The programme will begin by setting out key issues for healthcare and design in a European context, with case studies of projects or approaches to new ways of planning and designing for healthcare, followed by an expert panel to consider ways forward.

Booking is essential as places are limited, and for this event we can only accepted bookings from EuHPN or Architects for Health members.  EuHPN members should contact only the Executive Director, Jonathan Erskine, on This email address is being protected from spambots.
